Women in Motorcycling

Talk about world traveler! Wow!  This woman takes the cake.  Check out her story of travel around the world by motorcycle.

Another hardcore motorcyclist from Europe.  Check out Sylvia's adventures in riding, very cool!

Super Sarah!  Sarah is a desert racer, street rider and overall motorcycle enthusiast from the LA basin.  Last I saw Sarah she was the marketing rep for the Western Division of the American Motorcyclist Association.

Paula's an SF Bay Area local who has a passion for two wheels.  Check out her adventures and essays...

The Motogirlies is a local "club" based in the East Bay area of San Francisco.  Their focus is on women in motorcycling and yet they are open to riders of both sexes.  They meet every other week to chat, plan rides and have fun.  Check out their yahoo group here.

The Motogals are another Bay Area group of women who seek to provide a comfortable environment for newbies and experienced riders alike.  Their focus is on developing riding skills and creating a positive community for women.  This picture was from a trip to the go kart track for a bit of indoor karting fun.  Check out their yahoo group.

Lois just recently completed a trip from Alaska to the tip of South America on her tiny little XT225.  Pretty gutsy!  Read all about her adventures on the road.

How about a sport ride through Chernobyl?  Elena routinely takes her big Kawasaki on rides out through the ghost town showing you her dosimeter readings and providing some interesting observations.  Wild!

Dunno too much about this group other than they appear to really support women in dirt riding.  Check it out and see for yourself.  Pretty cool stuff!

A friend of mine sent me the link to this group.  Another friend recently rode with them.  From what I see they have a nice schedule of rides and reasonable rules of the road.  Despite being "Dangerous" they look pretty safe and sane.

A touring company for women by women.  Can you beat that?  Haven't heard from anyone who's done one of their tours but they look like a good outfit.

Another off-road group for women.  Anyone have any feedback on them?

Wind Sisters.  A fairly comprehensive list of women oriented websites.
