The Motogirlies is a local "club" based in the East Bay area of San Francisco. Their focus is on women in motorcycling and yet they are open to riders of both sexes. They meet every other week to chat, plan rides and have fun. Check out their yahoo group here.
The Motogals are another Bay Area group of women who seek to provide a comfortable environment for newbies and experienced riders alike. A friend of mine sent me the link to this group. Another friend recently rode with them. From what I see they have a nice schedule of rides and reasonable rules of the road. Despite being "Dangerous" they look pretty safe and sane.
